🎓 Southwest Full Tuition Scholarships (2026–2027)

Strategic Note: Enrolled ACU students who have official National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist standing, complete the FAFSA, and provide their certificate.

Strategic Note: Arizona residents who graduate from an Arizona high school with at least a 2.50 GPA, enroll full time at ASU in an on-campus degree program, and qualify for Pell-based need. This is state access aid, not a competitive campus merit scholarship.

Strategic Note: Admitted freshmen from families with adjusted gross income under about $50,000 who get the FAFSA in by Baylor's February 1 priority date and are selected through Baylor's need-based review. The honest framing for parents: this is a tuition-affordability program, not a true full ride. Baylor tuition is the thing that gets covered, not the whole bill.

Strategic Note: New freshmen in one of HCU's ten designated STEM majors with at least a 3.25 unweighted high school GPA, plus transfers carrying a 3.0 or better college GPA. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required, though HCU says alternate awards may be considered case by case for international students who graduated from a U.S. high school. Students must hold a 3.0 at HCU and cannot switch out of the eligible major list.

Strategic Note: Texas veterans, spouses, and dependents who meet state service and residency criteria and submit complete paperwork on time.

Strategic Note: Low-income Arizona residents and members of AZ's 22 recognized tribes

Strategic Note: Oklahoma residents who reach National Merit Finalist status and pick OSU as their first-choice school with NMSC.

Strategic Note: Strong residential undergraduates who present a compelling combination of academic record, leadership, service, and alignment with ORU's Christian mission. The university selects only about 12 full-tuition Quest scholars each year, so this is a narrow funnel even among admitted students.

Strategic Note: Texas veterans and eligible dependent children or spouses who meet state residency at enlistment, honorable discharge, and other Hazlewood Act requirements.

Strategic Note: Texas resident freshmen and transfers with family incomes up to $100,000 (the new Fall 2026 ceiling), Pell Grant eligibility, and enough demonstrated financial need to qualify for the grant package. Enroll full-time, file the FAFSA on time, and you're in. The 'commitment' is from SHSU — if you qualify, the tuition piece is covered.

Strategic Note: Students who reached the President's Scholar finalist round and did not receive the top award. There is no way to apply for this one directly, which means the only lever you control is the strength of your President's Scholars application.

Strategic Note: Texas families with a combined adjusted gross income of $100,000 or less. That is roughly the majority of SFA's in-state student body. There is no GPA requirement to qualify initially and no essay.

Strategic Note: A very small, hand-picked cohort of high-achieving students entering A&M. National Merit Semifinalist standing is a stated requirement. Brown runs its own review and interviews, entirely separate from A&M's scholarship process.

Strategic Note: Approximately the top 1% of applicants — near-perfect grades in the most rigorous curriculum, exceptional writing, impeccable recommendations, and an outstanding record of involvement — who also perform well at the on-campus Chancellor’s Scholars Experience.

Strategic Note: Texas-resident entering freshmen from households under $80,000 who file the FAFSA on time and enroll full time. There is no essay, no committee, and no competition. The only thing that disqualifies most eligible families is a late or incomplete FAFSA.

Strategic Note: Two or three first-year students per year, period. You need to be planning a STEM major from Trinity's approved list, apply Early Decision or Early Action by Nov 1, submit the separate Semmes application by Nov 8, and survive to the campus finalist event in early February. Income doesn't factor in — this is pure academic and research promise.

Strategic Note: Arizona community college transfer students nominated by their college and selected to the All-Arizona Academic Team through Phi Theta Kappa.

Strategic Note: National Merit Finalists — full stop. The pipeline starts with the PSAT/NMSQT junior year (you need to score in roughly the top 1% of your state to advance to Semifinalist, then complete the Finalist application packet). Once a student earns Finalist status from NMSC, the UH award is automatic if they name UH as their first-choice institution by the NMSC deadline. There is no separate competitive review at UH and no GPA, test score, or class rank floor beyond what NMSC already screens for.

Strategic Note: On-time Pell-eligible TX first-years with full-time enrollment.

Strategic Note: National Merit Finalists who name UNM their first-choice school. NMSC Finalist status is the only gate — if you have it and you commit to UNM, this award is essentially yours.

Strategic Note: Texas high school seniors from families at or under $65,000 in total income who are TEXAS Grant eligible, get their admission file and FAFSA in on time, and enroll the same year they graduate. The academic bar is real but not extreme; the timing and the paperwork are what actually knock people out.

Strategic Note: Oklahoma residents whose family income is at or below $60,000 (qualifying them for Oklahoma's Promise) and who still have a tuition gap after Promise and Pell. For these families, Crimson Commitment is OU's guarantee that tuition will be fully covered for four years.

Strategic Note: Texas families in the working and lower-middle income band who file early and completely. This is not a merit contest and there is no essay, no interview, and no committee. It comes down to residency, Pell and TEXAS Grant eligibility, an AGI at or under $100,000, and a finished file by March 1. The families who miss it almost always miss it on paperwork rather than on income.

Strategic Note: Texas residents with family income of $100,000 or less who file the FAFSA or TASFA on time and enroll at least three-quarter time. Most low- and middle-income Texas families who file by January 15 qualify automatically.

Strategic Note: Top international (Western Hemisphere, non-US/Cuba) students in good standing

Strategic Note: Texas residents who successfully complete the AlamoPROMISE program at an Alamo College and meet UTSA transfer eligibility. Students graduating in spring or summer are eligible for the fall term only, and fall graduates for the spring term only.

Strategic Note: Texas veterans, qualifying spouses, and dependent children who meet Hazlewood's service and Texas-residency requirements and submit complete documentation each term.

Strategic Note: Incoming freshmen typically in the top 5% of their high school class, with competitive SAT or ACT scores, a strong recommendation letter, and a reflective personal-growth essay. Past recipients have used it to focus on coursework instead of jobs and graduate without tuition debt.

Strategic Note: Strong freshmen UTRGV selects when academic strength and demonstrated financial need align. Effectively a near-full package for the students UTRGV most wants to keep on campus.

Strategic Note: Healy Murphy graduates who also earn an associate degree from an Alamo Community College and are admissible to UIW.
