  2. Door two is Scholarship Universe. The Adams State Foundation runs more than 200 scholarships, and every one of them requires your student to log in with their Adams State credentials and apply. It opens December 1 and slams shut March 1.

Honors at Adams State University

The honest answer: Adams State does not have an honors college. There is no separate honors application, no honors dorm, no honors curriculum, and no honors scholarship pool. If a formal honors program is a must-have on your student’s list, this is a fair reason to look elsewhere, and we would rather tell you that than pad this section.

That said, a lot of what families actually want from an honors college already comes standard here, because the school is small. Adams State enrolls fewer than 1,700 undergraduates and runs about a 14 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio. The small seminar, the professor who knows your name, the chance to get on a research project as a sophomore instead of waiting until senior year: at a big flagship those things are the reward for getting into honors. At Adams State they are just how the place works.

The degree they walk away with is a CSU Bachelor of Science, the same one issued in Fort Collins. Lab space and a machine shop were purpose-built for the program in an addition to Porter Hall. The first cohort graduated in spring 2026. For a family in rural Colorado who cannot easily send a kid four hours north, this is a genuinely rare offer.
  • Business Administration: The most-conferred degree on campus by a wide margin, with a straightforward path into regional business and management roles. There is an MBA on the graduate side if your student wants to keep going.
