The SAU Honors College is small, personal and open to students in every college and major. It is not a separate admissions track with its own price tag, and it is not a competition your student needs to win. It is closer to a curriculum choice with a stipend attached.
Students take at least 24 hours of honors coursework, which comes in two forms: full honors courses that are smaller and open only to honors students, and contract courses where a student negotiates with an instructor to raise a regular course to honors level.
